The Brenda Strafford Foundation Ltd. is a registered Canadian charity that was established by Dr. Barrie Strafford in 1975 in memory of his late wife Brenda Strafford to perpetuate her concern for humanity. The guiding principle of the Brenda Strafford Foundation is to cater to humanity; to bring a measure of hope to people whose outlook seems hopeless.
With a staff of over 450 people globally, The Brenda Strafford Foundation operates long term care facilities and a women’s shelter in Calgary; four healthcare clinics in Dominica; an AIDS hospice, teaching orphanage and a Medical Centre in Jamaica and a large Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital facility in Les Cayes, Haiti.
