Executive Chef-Luxury Resort Property- St. Kitts, West Indies
The Christophe Harbour Company in St. Kitts, West Indies is seeking an experienced, creative and energetic Executive Chef to oversee all aspects of BOH operations for the Beach House. Infused with new life, the Beach House features an updated new look and enhanced menu, while retaining the relaxed charm and spectacular water views that have earned it a devoted following among visitors and islanders alike. In December of 2008, The Beach House was named as one of the top restaurants in St. Kitts and Nevis by The New York Times.
As Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creative menu planning and food preparation, hiring, training and developing culinary staff, scheduling and supervising shifts, establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and local purveyors, food and labor cost control, and contributing to the line.
At least 5 years of previous experience as an Executive Chef at a luxury resort, private golf club, or 5-star hotel property is required. Qualified applicants will have a passion for food, strong leadership skills, and previous experience establishing and maintaining back of the house protocols including food safety and sanitation procedures. A commitment to excellence and to exceeding guest expectations is a must. A culinary degree and recent experience living and working in the Caribbean is strongly preferred.
