The Job
To provide exceptional leadership in the management of 120’000 square feet of warehouse space.
The successful candidate will work to ensure at all times that all systems regarding warehouse operations systems and procedure is utilized in the best interest of the organization and where necessary, updated as the need arises.
The facility supports a multi store retail environment where there is approximately 16000 SKU’s of which all must be constantly managed and mandates constant supervision of all departments on a daily basis.

The successful candidate must be a customer driven, focused, highly organized with attention to detail and motivated individual who is mature and able to provide leadership and professionalism to the environment and yet be able to meet strict deadlines.
General Duties
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of the warehouse and all that is stored therein.
The Primary functions of the successful candidate are, but not limited to:
I. Ensuring employee safety.
II. Customer service (both internal & external).
III. Goods receiving / Goods dispatch.
IV. Inventory maintenance, including cycle counts.
V. Non inventory maintenance.
VI. Item assembly.
VII. Proper storage of inventory items.
VIII. Stock rotation.
IX. People management (task assignment, evaluations, performance issues, problem solving, work hours scheduling & reporting).
X. Administrative duties (document maintenance, filing, reporting in various formats etc).
XI. Verification of all duties or tasks done by junior staff.
XII. Warehouse maintenance issues.
Essential duties and responsibilities of a Warehouse Manager
I. Supervise daily warehouse activities using junior staff to complete tasks.
II. Measuring and recording of all departmental activities.
III. Developing and maintaining departmental work instructions for all tasks.
IV. Establishing or adjusting work procedure to meet warehouse demand as dictated by work flow.
V. Interpreting company policy to employees and enforcing safety regulations.
VI. Recommending measures to improve quality of service.
VII. Conferring with other supervisors to coordinate interdepartmental activities.
VIII. Periodic audits for system efficiency.
IX. Warehouse maintenance.
X. Warehouse tool and equipment maintenance.
Minimum requirements.
I. Between the ages of 30 and 45.
II. A preferable degree in Logistics, Purchasing & Supply or a degree in Management.
III. No less than seven (7) years demonstrable experience in warehouse management.
IV. Possess strong leadership and management skills.
V. Must be able to work on a Saturday.
VI. Computer Literate using Microsoft Suite.
VII. Must be able to communicate with superiors, colleagues and sub-ordinates via the industry standard methods.
Warehouse Manager task list.

34. Manage returned goods to the warehouse

38. Arrange weekly meetings and take meeting minutes
