Overview
Effective Technical Reporting of activities is mandatory for the existence of a successful
organization. Technical reports serve as auxiliary tools to the day-to-day, tactical operations of any
organization. It is crucial to communicating findings and transferring information in a manner that
is factual, objective, clear, concise and traceable.
This three (3) day programme will enable participants to plan, write, revise and produce effective
technical reports. Participants will learn strategies for presenting information effectively, the tools
and techniques used for clarity, conciseness and accuracy of expression. They will also learn the
differences between strong and weak technical report writing.

OVERVIEW
This course provides participants with a clear understanding of the need for policies and procedures and will enable
participants to plan, analyze, research and develop them clearly, precisely and in a structured approach.
This course also places emphasis on the essential elements and methods of policy and procedure writing, such as style,
procedure
format and language. Participants will also be provided with an overview on the sensitive issues relating to law, as
well other organizational issues such as verification, editing, approval, notification to users and barriers that may
affect the adoption and use of policies and procedures.

Overview
A key aspect of organizational performance management is identifying, monitoring, and responding
to performance metrics. However, it is important that the right ones be selected, tracked, and
responded to.
Worried about areas that are unmeasured or not controlled? This workshop will present a
process for selecting what to measure, how to specify in sufficient detail the “what” and
“how” in order to create the metric, as well as how to report, review, and act on them. The
differences between leading and lagging indicators, outcomes vs. controls, and efficiency vs.
effectiveness will be discussed, as well as issues such as aligning metrics and identifying
gaps and conflict.

Overview
Do you know which projects to begin; do you have the right improvement program; are you making
sufficient progress for your organization? Keeping score by measuring the high costs of scrap,
product evaluation, rework, extra processes, down-time, and wasted effort will make clear where
the improvement needs to be made. Turning your improvement program into the language of dollars
and cents is the best way to quantify your progress in a way that top leadership cannot ignore!
The practice of finance for improvement, formerly known as quality costs, is the premier
method for advancing any improvement program. These techniques save money while
putting improvement efforts on a rock solid foundation.
